Ben Franklin

Ben Franklin was a really smart guy! I like to make comics about him. He invented the Lightning Rod, Franklin Stove, Bifocals (he wore them), and the Glass 'Armonica'.  He only had two years of schooling. How lucky can you get?! He published Poor Richard's Almanac and The Pennsylvania Gazette. He discovered electricity (by flying a kite with a key tied to it in a rain storm). He taught himself how to swim at age seven. Not many people knew how to swim back then. He wanted the national bird to be a turkey. He didn't wear one of those wussy powdered wigs. Instead he must have thought,"Bald is beautiful, baby!" He is also on the hundred dollar bill. What a guy!
